At the meeting, Northern Illinois University and Hue University discussed the possibility of developing mutual cooperation programs in terms of environment, economics, technology, sciences, arts, volunteer community and others appropriate for the two universities.

Prior to this meeting, NIU delegation visited Hue University College of Sciences and College of Foreign Languages for discussions about cooperative possibilities. Quang Tri Campus of Hue University was the next stop of NIU delegation on June 6, 2012 for seeking cooperation relating volunteer students for community service in Quang Tri Province.
