At the meeting, Hue University and BBB Korean entered into a cooperation agreement focusing mainly on opening a Korean language center at Hue University.

BBB Korea was launched in 2002 by JoongAng Ilbo, one of the "big three newspapers" in South Korea, to facilitate the successful hosting of the FIFA World Cup 2002 held in Korea and Japan. After the World Cup, BBB Campaign management was transferred from the Joongang Ilbo to the Organizing Committee for Visit Korea Year. BBB gained approval as being an established corporation since, and became a subdivision of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in May, 2003.

Currently, BBB Korea has nearly 4,000 volunteers across Korea providing interpretation services in 18 different languages through mobile phones. It contributes to Korea’s national image as a warm-hearted and well prepared nation, thriving as a global country.
