Tottori University, Japan pays a visit to Hue University (25-03-2011 16:50)

On March 24, 2011, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Le Manh Thanh, Hue University Vice President met with the delegation from Tottori University, Japan.

Founded in 1949, Tottori University currently has 4 Faculties offering training programs at all levels together with 20 research centers and institutes. There are about 6,300 undergraduate and graduate students and 1,600 teaching staff.

The Faculty of Regional Sciences under Tottori University set up cooperation with Hue University College of Sciences upon an MOU signed on March 23, 2009. Under the signed MOU, there have been academic and scholar exchange programs between the two schools.

On this occasion, to enhance the two school's cooperation, there was an information exchange between Faculty of Regional Sciences and Hue University College of Sciences focusing on postgraduate student exchange, teaching staff exchange and joint research in geography and geology, environmental sciences and chemistry

At the meeting, Hue University and Tottori University exchanged the MOU before-signed by the two Presidents to tighten the two universities' cooperation in the future.

Also at the meeting, on behalf of Hue University students and staff, Assoc.Prof. Dr Le Manh Thanh sent condolences to the Japanese people for their tragic loss after the earthquake and tsunami on March 13. Assoc.Prof. Le Manh Thanh also believed that with their strong will, the Japanese people will soon overcome difficulties and quickly rebuild the country.
