Hue University and Hokkaido University of Education, Japan signs an MOU

On April 8, 2011, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Toan, Hue University President and Prof. Kenji Honma, Hokkaido University of Education President entered into a cooperation agreement.
Founded in 1949, currently, Hokkaido University of Education has 3 faculties for teacher training, humanities and regional sciences, arts and physical education with a total of 6000 students.
Hokkaido University of Education and Hue University College of Education signed an MOU two years ago. On this occasion, Prof. Kenji Honma and Assoc. Nguyen Van Toan signed an MOU. Another MOU was also signed by Prof. Kenji Honma and Assoc. Prof Tran Van Phuoc, Hue University College of Foreign Languages. Under these agreements, there will be lecturer and student exchange programs in the future.
Hue University set up relationship with universities in Japan 20 years ago. Since 1996, there has been Japanese training program in Hue offering two-year certification for staff and students of Central region.
At present, there are about 300 Japanese major students studying at Hue University College of Foreign Languages and 500 students studying Japanese as a second foreign language. The College also offers training programs for international students including officials and students from Japan.
