Hue University conferred the title of Honorary Professor for Prof.Guy Feuillard, INSA Center Val de Loire, France (08-07-2019 17:06)

 

On the morning of July 3rd, at University of Education, Hue University organized a ceremony to confer the title of Honorary Professor of Hue University to Prof.Guy Feuillard - Director of International Relations of Val de Loire Center, National Institute of Applied Sciences, France. Assoc.Prof.Dr.Huynh Van Chuong, Vice President of Hue University awarded the certificate to Prof.Guy Feuillard.

Prof.Guy Feuillard was born in France. He graduated in Physics in 1987 from the Université de Paris VII Jussieu and received the D.E.A. d'Acoustique Appliquée from the Université du Mans in 1989. In 1993, he received his Ph.D. in ultrasound from the University of François Rabelais of Tours with outstanding academic achievement. He started his teaching career at the university and was promoted to Associate Professor there in 1999. After that, he moved to Val de Loire National Engineering School (now INSA Val de Loire) and appointed Professor since 2001. He is the professor of Electrical Engineering at the INSA Centre Val de Loire. His research area concerns electrical engineering: piezoelectric materials and their applications to ultrasonic devices and ultrasonic material characterizations.


During the course of his work, he has held many key professional and management positions in Physics, especially in ultrasound. He is currently the President of Piezo Institute, a member of French Society of Acoustics. Being the director of the international relations of the INSA centre Val de Loire, Prof.Guy Feuillard has made numerous contributions to the promotion and development of cooperation between the University of Education, Hue University and INSA Center Val de Loire, especially the joint engineer training program, specifically being in charge of the joint engineer program between the University of Education, Hue University and INSA Center Val de Loire. He has organized and participated in almost all working delegations of INSA Center Val de Loire to the University of Education, Hue University. He has annually interviewed, selected and supported the program participants at INSA Center Val de Loire; has taught and instructed the students in their study and preparation of dissertations at INSA Center Val de Loire. He initiated, participated in and promoted the project to establish INSA Center Val de Loire branch at University of Education, Hue University.

 

In recent years, University of Education, Hue University has officially established cooperation with nearly 30 universities and educational and scientific organizations in the world. Among them, the joint engineer training program with Val de Loire Center, French National Institute of Applied Sciences is one of the most important and successful international cooperation activities. The program has enrolled and trained 10 cohorts, with more than 100 graduates. Most of the students have good academic results and highly evaluated by the Center of Val de Loire. Many students were awarded Eiffel scholarship, which is the most prestigious scholarship of the French Government for international students. After graduation, many students continued to pursue higher study, including 4 students having successfully defended their doctoral thesis and 10 students writing the thesis. Other program graduates all have jobs with good positions abroad or in Vietnam. In celebration of the 10 year cooperation anniversary, in 4/2019, University of Education-Hue University, Center of Val de Loire, Rencontres du Vietnam and the French Institute at Vietnam signed a cooperation agreement to set up an undergaraduate branch of Val de Loire Center at University of Education, Hue University.
