Hue University is IMC Krems' (Austria) strategic partner (12-04-2019 16:34)

On April 10, 2019, the President of Hue University and Supervisory Board Chairman of University of Applied Sciences Krems, Austria (IMC-Krems) had a working meeting and signed the new MOU after 14 years of cooperation in training. IMC-Krems delegation led by Dr. Heinz Boyer, Supervisory Board Chairman. Besides, the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (Österreichischer Rundfunk ORF, an Austrian national broadcasting station) attended the meeting and reported about the event.

 

 

Since the first MOU signing in 2005, Hue University and IMC-Krems have so far opened 6 cohorts of 3 training programs: Master of Tourism Management, Master of International Business and Bachelor of Tourism Management and Entertainment Industry. Dr.Christian Kümmel, Director of Transnational Programmes, IMC-Krems affirmed that Hue University is a strategic partner of IMC-Krems in Vietnam.

 

At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr.Nguyen Hoang Khanh Linh, Head of Hue University's International School, was pleased to announce that the alumni of the joint training programs after graduation had reaped remarkable successes. Some alumni continue to pursue an academic pathway, studying abroad for PhD degrees. Many alumni are holding important positions in Vietnam government agencies and in entertainment or tourism corporations such as FLC, Vingroup, etc. Some alumni are very successful with their own businesses.

 

Assoc.Prof.Dr.Nguyen Quang Linh, President of Hue University highly appreciated the cooperation in training between Hue University and IMC-Krems and informed that  Hue University also has successful cooperation with European partners in projects such as ERASMUS Mundus, VLIR-UOS, etc. and successful cooperation with many international organizations such as ASEA UNINET, Francophonie, etc. Assoc.Prof.Dr.Nguyen Quang Linh hoped that the two universities will continue to cooperate successfully in training, to together carry out international projects, research programs, to develop cooperation into other fields such as scholar exchange, student mobility, etc.
