Hue University School of Tourism and Hospitality provides high quality human resources in tourism (10-04-2020 17:24)

Currently, Hue University School of Tourism and Hospitality provides Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD training programs. In which, there are 7 communication and 4 specialized Bachelor’s programs for the demand of enterprises. In 2020, the school’s targeted enrollment reaches 1410 students for Business Administration, Tourism, E-Tourism, Tourism Services Management and Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Restaurant Management and Gastronomy. Master’s level provides training programs in Tourism and Tourism Management with annual enrollment of 70 students. The School is one of the two training addresses in the whole country offering doctoral training programs with the target of 5-7 PhD students per year.

Tourism – A spearhead economic sector

 

Strategy on Vietnam’s tourism development until 2030 approved by the Government dated January 22, 2020 indicated the perspective of developing tourism into a key economic sector, creating a driving force for other socio-economic growth. Of which, human resource development needs reasonably structuring so that the quality and quantity meet all requirements of competition and integration.

 

In Thua Thien Hue province, there are institutes of training high quality human resources in Tourism to meet the recruitment requirements of enterprises including Hue University School of Tourism Hospitality and Thua Thien Hue Tourism Vocational College.

 

With the advantage of locating in Thua Thien Hue province, students of Hue University School of Tourism and Hospitality have more opportunities to practise at international standard tourism enterprises and integrate into local and international labor market. In addition, the School has developed a lot of tight and fruitful cooperation with various international projects and partners in relation with tourism, helping students approach international tourism standards.
