Value education is the education of sense of values, lifestyle, self-consciousness, of attitudes and behaviors in life, in the relationships with others on the basis of the value of Truthfulness, Compassion and Beauty. Together with knowledge education and skills education, value education is one of the three basic components of school education, family education and social education, which helps shaping and developing personality, ethicalness, citizenship, and spiritual value for students, contributing to the implementation of UN Declaration of Education: learning is not just to do it, to gain knowledge but to self-identify to live and to live together.

In order to build a forum of this issue, the Research Institute of Education and International Exchange - Hue University in collaboration with Institute of Educational Managers, Ho Chi Minh City organize the international workshop on “Value education in schools”.

Scope and Interests:

1.     The needs of value education in today's schools

2.     Objectives, contents, characteristics and methods of value education for students

3.     Fundamental, traditional and modern values needed for education

4.     Value Education in the curriculum, current and reformed textbooks 

5.     The current situation of value education in schools and its solutions

6.     Position and responsibility of school, family, society in value education for the young generation

Tentative workshop date : January 03, 2019

Venue: Institute of Educational Managers, Ho Chi Minh City

Submission: We look forward to receiving the attention and participation of domestic and foreign educational managers, teachers, scientists, cultural researchers.
