He has spent all his life for researches on mushrooms.  It is said that he especially has a destiny with Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum mushroom).  He spends most of his life for Ganoderma lucidum mushroom research – a precious mushroom with medicinal treatment of hundreds diseases.  He is among a few experts, who can classify different kinds of Ganoderma lucidum mushroom and determine what can be used and what can not. He has invested much more time for researches on the effects, characteristics and how to plant Hoàng chi Ganoderma colossum(Fr.)C. F. Baker. He becomes one of the first people developing successfully the planting process of  Hoàng chi Ganoderma colossum(Fr.)C. F. Baker in the conditions of lab room at his university. Presently, he has applied this process into the conditions of real production situation.

VIFOTEC is the most prestigious and honorable award for those who have big projects of scientific and socio-economic values to have been carried out and applied effectively in Viet Nam.  During the last 13 years, more than 1.200 scientific projects of scientists and researchers from different provinces, cities, ministries and sections all over the country has been received for Vifotec Award .

This year, there would be 4 first prizes, 8 second prizes, 11 third prizes and 13 consolation prizes for 36 scientific projects in the following fields: automatic mechanics, material technology, information technology, electronics, telecommunication, biology in production and life, technology for environment protection and proper use of natural resources, Energy Saving Technology and New Energy using Technology.  Especially, the top 4 teams and individuals will be awarded by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The Viet Nam Creation Award of Science and Technology aims to encourage scientists to do more intensive researches and to apply properly the achievements of modern sciences and technology to the real-life situation in Viet Nam.
