Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Quang Linh, Hue University President delivered a speech at the Workshop on “Hanoi – Hue – Saigon” towards the journey and national security. 

The workshop was organized on the occasion of 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and towards the 60th anniversary of Friendship among the 3 cities of Hanoi – Hue – Saigon (October 8, 1960 – October 8, 2020).

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Quang Linh, Hue University President said that the scientific workshop “Hanoi – Hue – Saigon towards the heritage journey and national security” is an occasion to rewind the history and tradition of the tight friendship and brotherhood of the three cities. At the same time, the workshop affirmed the role and position of Hue University in relation with Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University for the development of education and training in the country, region, and in the world.

Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Vice Chairman, People Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province noted that the relationship of Hanoi – Hue – Saigon is based on scientific ground. Looking back the current context, Hanoi is the political-economic capital; Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) is the economic focal point and Hue keeps its role as an ancient capital of culture, history, and humanity which is a center of education and health, equivalent to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Scientist and guests participating in the workshop discussed those issues as the history of Vietnamese people; the foundation of Hanoi, Hue, and Saigon in the development of the people; the values of Hanoi, Hue, and Saigon in the development of the country; the establishment of education and training in Hanoi, Hue and Saigon…

Prof. Nguyen Quang Ngoc. Vice-Chairman of Vietnam Historical Science Association delivered his speech at the workshop. 

Superior monk Dr. Thich Phuoc Dat, Vice Dean of Vietnam Buddhist Association in Ho Chi Minh City delivered his speech at the workshop.
