Offering the campaign medal for "career in education" to Dr. Britta Ogle (10-03-2008 14:31)
On March 9th, 2008, Hue University has organized the offering campaign medal ceremony to Dr. Britta Ogle for working in education and training over 15 years. Dr. Le Thanh Son, Vice President of Hue University on the authority of Minister of Education and Training offered the campaign medal for "career in education" to Dr. Britta Ogle.

Dr. Britta Ogle holds a doctoral degree in nutrition and she is now head department of Rural Development and Agro - ecology, Uppsala University of Agricultural Sciences, Sweden.

Dr. Britta Ogle has over 30 years of experiences in international nutrition and rural development from short term and long term contracts in many countries in Africa and Asia. She has been working for international nutrition research and training at Uppsala University since 1983. She had 8 years of teaching experience in African higher training institutions.

Dr. Britta Ogle is Director for the Global  Nutrition programme since 2001 till now; and in charge of project: "Information technology and distance training in nutrition" since 2003.

Since 2004, she is a Swedish coordinator of Sida/SAREC supported research cooperation project for rural development in Vietnam (called RDViet).

Dr. Britta Ogle has directly participated to conduct the research and Masters and doctors training activities in the field of animal husbandry and rural development collaborated between the Swedish University of Agriculture Sciences (SLU) and Agricultural Universities in Vietnam since 1994.

Dr. Britta Ogle is also senior lecturer for master courses on animal husbandry and courses on rural development in Vietnam. She has proposed and conducted co-educational programme for Master of Science in Rural Development between SLU and Hue University - College of Agriculture and Forestry certificated by Swedish University.

Working in Vietnam over 15 years, Dr. Britta Ogle has tried her best to contribute to Vietnamese education development in general and for agricultural universities in particular.
