Attending the ceremony, from the side of Hue University was Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Toan – President of Hue University, Leaders of the 4 centers and representatives from Ha Noi Capital and Ho Chi Minh City.  From the side of Simmons College was Assoc. Prof. Michel V.Cloonan – The Dean of Faculty of Library and Information, Simmons Collegeand Assoc. Prof. Patricia G.Oyler – who is directly in charge of the program.  In addition, the representatives of Atlantic Philanthropies foundation and Kentucky University also participated the ceremony.

Till now, this Master' degree of Information and Library Science is the first large-scale training program in the field in Viet Nam with the sponsor of Atlantic Philanthropies Foundation.  The program is designed basing on the cooperation module between the Faculty of Information and Library of Simmons University and 4 learning resource centers in Viet Nam.

Among 25 graduated Master students of the course, there are 10 outstanding students with excellent result being awarded the honors by Prof. Patricia G. Oyler.
