According to the Regulation on organization and operation of the Animal Ethics Advisory Committee issued together with the Decision No. 449/QD-DHH April 22, 2021, by Hue University President, the committee consists of 13 members specialized in various branches of veterinary and animal sciences, aquaculture, and biology. Prof. Le Dinh Phung, Vice-Rector of University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University is the Chairman of the Committee.

This is a result of Project 2 under the VLIR-IUC program between Hue University and Belgian partners. Hue University Animal Ethics Committee with the five-year term uses the seal and account of University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University during the implementation of the Committee.

In the coming time, the Committee has an action plan such as developing training courses by international experts, principles on the approval and management of scientific research projects, international publishing consulting, and advocacy for national regulation.
