The event aims to evaluate the results from the development of the network of family medicine during the past time, sharing experience on the implementation of the model for improving the efficiency of primary treatment.

Mr. Pierre-Yves Jeholet, Minister-Premier of the Government of the French-speaking Belgian Community (Wallonie-Bruxelles) spoke at the conference 

At the conference, Mr. Pierre-Yves Jeholet, Minister-Premier of the Government of the French-speaking Belgian Community (Wallonie-Bruxelles) said that Primary care has always been one of the priorities of the Government of Wallonia's bilateral cooperation with Vietnam in recent years, aiming to socialize the access to high-quality medical care for people. Especially, after the long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the project to improve the efficiency of the network of family medicine in training and primary medical examination and treatment in Vietnam, 2022-2024 granted by Wallonie – Bruxelles and coordinated by Liege University, Belgium and University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University has proved the 12-year close cooperation between partners from Belgium and medicine and pharmacy universities in Vietnam.

During the past time, the Kingdom of Belgium and the Government of Wallonie-Bruxelles have continuously supported Hue University through cooperation projects including projects of family medicine and primary health treatment, capacity building, and technology transfer.
