The academic year 2021 – 2022 marked the significant events 

The academic year 2021 - 2022 marked 65 years of establishment and development of Hue University, a multi-disciplinary and high-quality university. It affirmed the goal of developing Hue University into a National University according to the Resolution No. 54 of the Politburo and the Resolution No. 83 of the Government.

Prof. Dr. Le Anh Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Hue University President presented flowers to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Linh, Former Secretary of the Party Committee, Former Chairman of the Council, Former President of Hue University for the term 2016-2021.

The academic year 2021 - 2022 was the year of transferring the term of Hue University President, a further step toward the sustainable development of Hue University. Also in this school year, Hue University Council issued Resolutions on recognizing the rectors of Hue University's member universities, and Councils of member universities issued Resolutions on recognizing the deputy rectors. Full-time enrollment for undergraduate and graduate students reached nearly 100% of the target, of which 13,122 candidates were admitted to undergraduate programs and 1776 candidates were admitted to graduate programs. Moreover, the international cooperation activities were accelerated after the COVID-19 pandemic such as signing 21 MOUs; receiving 225 international students and 172 short-term exchange students; welcoming 85 international delegations; organizing 58 delegations of staff and students to participate in training, exchange, and research cooperation programs at international higher education institutions; implementing new licensing procedures for 09 international cooperation projects; and organizing 26 international seminars and conferences.

Keeping the goal of developing Hue University into a National University

In the academic year 2022-2023, many activities were determined by Hue University President to develop Hue University into a National University.
