Korean Traditional Skill Successor Incorporated Association awarding scholarship for HU students majored in Arts and Crafts (28-04-2017 11:35)

On April 27, 2017, Hue University (HU) in collaboration with Korean Traditional Skill Successor Incorporated Associatio (KTSS) organized a ceremony to award scholarships to HU's outstanding students. These students are majored in language studies, arts and cultures who had difficulties in life while achieved high academic results. The scholarship is to motivate students to become excellent citizens and to promote the cooperation in traditional crafts between Vietnam and Korea.

 

 

 Present at the scholarship awarding ceremony were Mr. Lee Ga Rak - Chairman of KTSS, Mr. Choi Seung Ho - Secretary General of KTSS, Mr. Cho Kwang Nam - Representative of KTSS in Vietnam; Dr. Truong Quy Tung - Vice President of Hue University, representatives of member universities and scholarship awardees.

 

 

At the ceremony, Dr. Truong Quy Tung, Vice President of Hue University, on behalf of Hue University, thanked KTSS for giving scholarships to HU's 20 students - typical representatives who overcame the difficulties to pursue their study. These students will be the bridge to strengthen the cooperation between HU and KTSS in the field of traditional crafts.

 

 

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Lee Ga Rak was delighted with the successful cooperation between HU and KTSS, which he considered as the basis for future cooperation to develop the project for preservation and development of traditional industries of the two countries. The chairman of KTSS hoped to receive the support of Hue University in setting up a KTSS' office to provide training for students and individuals who are interested in Korean and Vietnamese traditional crafts. Those who graduate from the training courses will be granted vocational certificates which are valid not only in Vietnam but also in Korea. In addition, KTSS is committed to provide scholarships for Hue University's excellent students to study and work in Korea.
