Prof. Piero Cappuccinelli, born in September 8, 1944 with Italian nationality, is one of the experienced experts in Micro-biology.   At present, he is the Chairman of the National Research Council in Sassari, the Chairman of International Cooperation Council at Sassari University and the Vice-chairman of Office for Economic development and applied research of Sardinia Goverment.  During the last time, he has made many contributions on training young officers and enhancing the teaching and researching capacity for lecturers.  His contributions resulted in the achievements of the local medicine in general and Hue University, College of Medicine and Pharmacy in particular. 

In responding to the submitted proposal of the Research and Training Council of Hue University, College of Medicine and Pharmacy and acknowledging the great contributions of Prof. Piero Cappuccinelli to Hue University and College of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University has issued the Decision on awarding the title of Honorary Professor to Prof. Piero Cappuccinelli. 

After the reading on the research experiences and achievements of Prof. Piero Cappuccinelli, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Toan, President of Hue University solumnely awarded the Acknowledgement Decision and Certificate of Honorary Professor Title to Prof. Piero Cappuccinelli.  Also, Prof. Piero Cappuccinelli was presented congratulation flowers by Assoc. Prof. Cao Ngoc Thanh, Rector of Hue University, College of Medicine and Pharmacy, Assoc. Prof. Tran Huu Dang, Vice-Rector of Hue University, College of Medicine and Pharmacy and representatives of each faculty and section. 

On his reply address, Prof. Piero is deeply grateful for the thoughtful caring of Hue University and Hue College of Medicine and Pharmacy on the contributions of Sassari University in general and his own ones in particular.  He made a pledge that he will continue to boost and create favourable conditions for the cooperation and development between the two universities and for higher achievements in the coming time.
