Hue University was invited to participate this event for 2 reasons: Firstly, Hue University has carried out the advanced joint training program on Physics with Virginia University of America.  Secondly, Hue University is one of the universities in Vietnam having the strength on educational field and it is looking for opportunities to reform the methods of training teachers, lecturers and education leaders at all levels through the Master and Doctorate training programs with prestigious universities in America.  Participating universities in America this time are all research universities.

In San Francisco, with the witness of the Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong and the Standing Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan, Hue University singed the memorandum with University of Southern California.  The MOU focuses on the training program of English language teachers, of education leaders from primary school to university, and the joint training and exchange programs of researchers. 

Hue University delegation also had a meeting with the representative of Missouri Education University, Prof. Jay Scribner, the Dean of Faculty of Education Leader.  The two universities reached a consensus on some solutions on training Doctor of Education majoring in education leadership and other fields.

In addition, at Vietnam Education Forum, the display booth of Vietnam providing information about the advanced training program of Physics between Hue University's College of Education and Virginia University of America attracted the great attention of many participants including scientists and education administrators both from Vietnam and America.
