Prof. Michael Runge is one of the famous experts in Obstetrics in Germany.  Since 1995 till now, he has made many important contributions to the training and the improvement of teaching and researching capacities for the staffs at Hue University's College of Medicine and Pharmacy.

He has also given supports to the 15 health officers in the Central of Vietnam to get the scholarships in Germany and Switzerland.  Thanks to his assistance, many health centers in the Central including the Obstetric Department of Hue Central Hospital have been equipped with modern machines to effectively serve for the staff training and the patience treatment.  Specifically, with his valuable help, the teaching materials of Reproduction Health with the latest knowledge have been published and used in the post-graduate joint-training project at Hue University's College of Medicine and Pharmacy.  The program is estimated to meet the criteria of advanced training programs which are encouraged to develop at each university by the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training.

With the above-mentioned achievements, Prof. Michael Runge has been presented the Medal "For the cause of Public's Health" by the Minister of Health and the Title of "Honorary Professor" by the President of Hue University.

On this occasion, Prof. Runge also singed the contract of giving the use right and transferring the post-graduate teaching document in Obstetrics to the Rector of Hue University's College of Medicine and Pharmacy aiming to developing the university's other training programs.
