At the meeting, Hue University President informed the Ambassador about the results of cooperation between Hue University and Irish partners in higher education. The joint training program in Bachelor of Business Administration was developed by University of Economics, Hue University, and Tallaght Institute of Technology, Ireland.

Regarding research and project development cooperation, from 2017 to 2021, with the sponsorship of the Irish Embassy, Hue University and Dublin University of Technology successfully collaborated on the VIBE Program

They discussed the development of pilot joint programs, in which TU Dublin would transfer the program outlines and assist Hue University in teaching in English and Vietnamese. Students would not only be enrolled in Vietnam but could also be recruited from Laos and Cambodia, including programs such as Bachelor of International Business, University of Economics, Hue University in partnership with TU Dublin; Master of Tourism, School of Tourism and Hospitality – Hue University in partnership with TU Dublin; Master of Computer Science, Hue University in collaboration with Dublin City University. TU Dublin and Hue University would jointly guide doctoral students, exchange lecturers, and students, and provide scholarships to Laotian, Cambodian, and Myanmar students enrolled in pilot programs at Hue University.

Ambassador John McCullagh and Assoc. Le Anh Phuong was pleased with the results of the cooperation between Hue University and Irish partners and expressed their desire to continue promoting effective cooperation in education, research, programs, projects, and areas of mutual interest.
