Hue University President and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the United Kingdom and Ireland

On the first day, the delegation visited the University of South Wales. The university emphasized its international orientation and plans to enhance global connectivity between the University of South Wales and Vietnamese partners. Both parties discussed and shared ideas on technological innovations in management, opportunities for international collaboration in admissions, and mutually beneficial development of international academic partnerships.

On the second day, the delegation had a meeting with Ambassador Nguyen Hoang Long, the Vietnamese Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland at the British Council Wales. The Ambassador shared insights on the cooperative development direction and the educational approach of the UK towards Vietnamese universities in general, including scholarships and projects for lecturers and students. Subsequently, the delegation moved to Aberystwyth University and worked directly with the Aberystwyth Business School. The two sides exchanged and discussed research development and collaboration opportunities, particularly highlighting the Microcredential offered by the Business School, which can be studied online and applied anywhere in the world.

The delegation presented souvenirs to the leaders of Swansea University

The delegation had a meeting with female leaders of Swansea University, a strategic partner of Hue University. Swansea University is the most successful institution in implementing a gender equality model, with a balanced ratio of male and female leaders, researchers, and scholars, particularly with a high-ranking female leadership team. The delegation listened to the experiences and personal motivations of some female scientists in becoming leaders of the university. The delegation of Hue University delivered a presentation on Hue University and the role of women in teaching, scientific research, and technology transfer.

On the final working day, the delegation visited Cardiff University. The university presented various reports on the theme of "Efforts for Gender Equality”. Subsequently, both parties discussed and proposed ideas on international collaboration opportunities and Hue University expressed its interest in summer student exchange programs and short-term study programs for lecturers and students.
