Hue University welcomes Japanese environment examiners (19-12-2006 10:29)
On the morning of September 28, Hue University welcomed and held a meeting with Mr. Kenji Yokoyama, General Manager and Mr. Komao Saito, Managing Director of the Environment System Section, NEC Facilities Co., Ltd- Japan.

NEC Facilities Co., Ltd is a company well-known for its research potentials, sewage disposal and environment-related issues. This visit aims at investigating the hot issue sewage conditions, especially that of hospitals, and solutions to treatments as well as other environmental issues in Hue University.

Dr. Le Van Thang, Director of Centre for Environment Resources  and Bio-Technology_ Hue University has introduced to the examiners the human resources, equipment and research potentials of the centre. The equipment potential of the centre currently reaches an equivalence of 50 billion VND reserved for Bio-Technology, part of which is for Environment treatment bio-technology; 5 ha of soil for experimented cultivation and safe vegetables production; 1 laboratory for research of environment treatment; 1 laboratory for environment analysis. The Centre has participated in a great number of large-scale research projects, one of which is " Examining Huong River water" and "Evaluation of Ta Trach Lake environment"

The study of environment treatment and hospital disposals is challenging the researchers of Environment Resources Centre and Bio-Technology_Hue University. Both parties hope that this field could be expanded for long-term collaboration. Simultaneously, this could help the students and researchers of environment at Hue University be trained to approach advanced technology of Japan.

Within this meeting, Mr. Kenji Yokoyama and Mr. Komao Saito paid a visit to the research units of Centre for Environment Resources and Bio-Technology_Hue University.
