Both parties have exchanged information of mutual interest and discussed some articles in the general MOU. Hue University and Vienna University of Technology will cooperate on research, lecturer and student exchange in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology, Technical Chemistry and Technical Physics.

In the afternoon of the same day, both parties have entered another agreement signing ceremony on Vietnam-Austria Sandwich Post-graduate Training Program – VASPT. The research project is divided into 2 phases: 1 year and a half pursuing research at Hue University; 2 years and a half at Vienna University of Technology. The cooperative training program is outlined in a 10-year time frame. Each year, it is guaranteed that 15 PhD. candidates are trained and awarded degrees by Vienna University of Technology. This is the initial step of the implementation of agreement signed between Hue University and Vienna University of Technology.

On this occasion, Prof. Hans Kaiser, Vice- President of Vienna University of Technology- Republic Austria has awarded PhD. Degree to PhD Candidate Hoang Huu Hanh (College of Science- Hue University), who majors in Computer Science and Information Technology. This is the second candidate from Hue University who successfully defends his thesis and has been awarded PhD. Degree by Vienna University of Technology- Republic of Austria.
