On 26 Jan, 2007, Hue University, together with Quang Tri People’s Committee solemnly held the Proclamation of the Decision for Hue University-Quang Tri Branch Foundation.

Guests attending the ceremony include Mr. Le Huu Phuc, Member of Central Communist Party Committee, Chairman to QT People’s Committee;  Mr. Hoang Gia Khiem, Deputy-Manager of Personnel Department; and senior specialists of MOET; representatives of Quang Tri functional departments and sessions; administrators of Hue University and its affiliated colleges.

Hue University-Quang Tri Branch sets its 8530 sq. m. office location at No 133 Ly Thuong Kiet, Dong Ha Town, Quang Tri Province and its 25 ha planned area at Dong Le ward, Dong Ha Town, Quang Tri Province.   

Hue University-Quang Tri Branch has started its enrollment activity since academic year 2005-2006, in Public Health, Community services, Industry-Technology Pedagogy with a training scale of 150-180 first -year regular students. In the following years, enrollment rate may reach 5-7 %. Until 2015, expected training scale is 2000-2500 regular students.
