A new scientific cooperation possibility between Hue University and German organizations and universities

Dr. Harald Leisch, Counselor of Sciences, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Vietnam, paid a visit to Hue University on 12 March 2010. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Manh Thanh welcomed him. The objective of this visit was to prepare for scientific research delegations to visit and work with Hue University in the upcoming time. Dr. Harald Leisch introduced DFG fund to Hue University. It is a central scientific fund company that encourages research activities at colleges and research institutions. In the next visits, the delegations of the Federal Republic of Germany will introduce in details this fund to leaders and scientific researchers of Hue University. In the action plan of 2010, two sides will co-organize a seminar on history, especially Asian history, for lecturers and students of History at Hue University. Assoc.Prof. Dr. Le Manh Thanh, Vice-President of Hue University hopes that in the coming time, Hue University will receive support from the Federal Republic of Germany for training staff and specialists. Furthermore, he hopes that DFG will collaborate with scientists of Hue University to develop a joint research program for scientists of both sides in order to strengthen technological and scientific cooperation.
