Graduation Ceremony for the first cohort of Tourism and Leisure Management Program (27-07-2010 13:35)

July 22, 2010 Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Toan, President of Hue University, and Prof. Max Schachner, representative of IMC University of Applied Science, Krems, Austria, awarded Bachelor's degree to seven students having successfully completed the program.

The part-time onsite study abroad program spans 4 years, including one prep year and three years for the main syllabus. After completing the prep year, students gaining IELTS 6.0 by the end of their third semester will be qualified for continuing the program; if not, they will have to retake the IELTS test. Students are expected to spend the fourth semester doing their internship in Austria or some countries in Europe. Then, they come back to Vietnam to go on with the last two semesters and defending graduation theses in both Vietnamese and English. The training program is accredited under European standards.

Seven students successfully completing the program were awarded the International Bachelor's degree in Tourism and Leisure Management.

On this occasion, Hue University Doctoral Training Resources Center also granted a scholarship of USD 1,500 for Nguyen Huyen Tran, valedictorian of the program.

This is the first cohort graduating from the joint training program between Hue University and IMC University of Applied Science, Krems, Austria
